Wallets
Security and privacy
How Newport keeps your wallets safe, and what can link them to you.
Newport holds the keys of your wallets so it can launch and trade for you in seconds. This page explains how they are kept safe, and which of your actions can link wallets to you on chain.
Your keys
- Every key is stored encrypted on Newport's server. Keys never go to your browser, except when you export them.
- Wallets are never deleted, so you never lose access to one.
- You can export any key at any time and use it in Phantom.
Email codes
Before money or keys can leave Newport, Newport sends a fresh code to your email:
- exporting keys,
- withdrawing or transferring to an address that is not one of your wallets,
- a stealth withdrawal,
- withdrawing referral rewards.
Funding a launch from your funding wallet never asks, because the money stays in your own wallets.
What links your wallets
On Solana, anyone can see who sent SOL to whom. That is how tools find the wallets behind a launch.
| What you do | Links your wallets? | To leave no link |
|---|---|---|
| Direct deposit | Links the wallet you send from to your funding wallet. | Stealth deposit |
| Direct funding of a launch | Links every launch wallet to your funding wallet. | Stealth funding |
| Direct withdrawal | Links your funding wallet to the address you send to. | Stealth withdraw |
| One dev wallet for many launches | Links those launches. | A New dev wallet for each launch. |
| Block-0 wallets holding their tokens | Shows a large share bought in the first block. | Cleanup |

Keep your token address private
Newport finds your token's address before launch. Anyone who has it can buy in your first block, ahead of your own buys. Share it only once your token is live.
